Trisha Mentzer

Trisha Mentzer joins FDN Athletics with true belief that sports build strong character in our youth. As a nine-year Army Military Police Veteran, running enthusiast, and a dancer from age 3-17, she understands the discipline required to achieve those long-term goals. She too was on a big stage as a county title holder, competing for Miss Michigan in 2001.

Trisha obtained her bachelor’s degree from Grand View University, and her master’s degree in business and leadership from Troy University. Although she was born and raised in Michigan, her husband and two children placed their roots in Georgia! Her niece, Reese Sevigny, is a 2021 World’s Champion from Stingray Peach, 2021 Kennesaw D1 All Girl National Champion, and 2x NGHS State Champ. Her daughter, Aftyn, was inspired as a toddler watching her cousin Reese on those big stages. Aftyn inherited the passion for all-star cheer and wants that #FWC bling!!

When Trisha is not transporting her son in travel baseball, or daughter for cheer, she is a full-time federal employee of 14 years.
